WAEC Finally Releases May/June 2016 WASSCE Results
The West African Examinations Council has formally reported the arrival of the May/June 2016 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
Talking amid a question and answer session in Lagos, the Head of National Office (HNO), Mr. Isaac Adenipekun, said that a sum of 1,552,758 hopefuls enrolled for the examination, out of which 1,544,234 sat for the exam.
He said that 825,650, speaking to 53.5% were male while 718,585, speaking to 46.5% were female.
In a breakdown of the outcomes, an aggregate of 1,393,907 hopefuls, speaking to 90.26% have their outcomes completely discharged while 158,718 applicants, speaking to 9.74% have a couple of their subjects as yet being prepared because of a few mistakes fundamentally traceable to the competitors and schools over the span of enlistment or composing the examination.
Such blunders are being rectified by the Council to empower the influenced applicants get their outcomes completely prepared and discharged in this way.
A sum of 878,040 applicants, speaking to 52.97%, got credits in five subjects or more, including English Language and Mathematics.
The HNO included that there was a critical change in the execution of hopefuls when contrasted and the consequences of 2014 and 2015 examinations.
