The news that Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka visited President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock, has caused some speculation on what could have given rise to such a visit.

Wole Soyinka while speaking in an interview with Zero Tolerance, a periodic publication by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in 2015, described Buhari as a lucky man who had not yet asked for forgiveness for his sins, but was accepted by Nigerians.
5. Soyinka urged Nigerians to be cautious
At a speech in the United States, he also said that Buhari was not some sort of messiah, so Nigerians should not get their hopes up, but that Buhari had a sense of history.
6. Speaking out against the ‘herdsmen’ massacres.
While speaking on April 27, 2016, he said the above words. After he said that herdsmen invaded his home while he was abroad with the cows leaving a “motorable” path.
7. Speaking on Buhari’s administration
Wole Soyinka said this to Channels Television in Johannesburg where he is expected to speak at a public lecture entitled Politics, Culture and the New Africa.
