Fake Pastor In Court For Raping Married Woman During ‘Spiritual Cleansing’

A man who has been introducing himself as a pastor to cheat clueless individuals from the general public, has been summoned under the watchful eye of a Surulere Magistrates' Court sitting in Lagos State, for supposedly assaulting a 38-year-old lady on the guise of helping her profoundly.

The court heard that the 42-year-old man, Wasiu Lawal, who lives at No.1, Adeleke Agodo Street, Ikorodu zone of the state, had bamboozled the lady into trusting he had the forces to change her fate profoundly and that she needed to experience some purging and all the while, he purportedly assaulted her.

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Christopher Okoniko, told the court that the charged who had, at different times guaranteed to be a minister, local specialist and an Alfa (Muslim priest), powerfully had a sex with the lady under the appearance of appealing to God for her.

"The complainant said she didn't know how she wound up dozing in the man's home till the following day.

She said the following day, she portrayed the story to her significant other who reported the matter at Ikorodu police headquarters which prompted the capture of the blamed.

The blamed uses one space for peaceful work, the second space to counsel as a botanist and the third one for Muslim minister (Alfa) work," Okoniko told the court, saying that the offenses repudiated Section 258 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
