Germany To Begin Supply Of Military Hardware To Nigeria
The German Government on Monday affirmed that it would begin supply of military equipment to bolster Nigeria's push to address security challenges in the Northeast and Niger Delta, before the end of 2016.
The Permanent Secretary, German Foreign Office, Mr. Markus Elderer, said this in a talk with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sideline of the resistance session of the Nigeria-Germany Bi-National Commission meeting in Abuja.
He said the choice to bolster Nigerian security strengths in their counter-insurrection operations was the German government's reaction to a solicitation made by President Muhammadu Buhari at the keep going G-7 summit facilitated by the European country
Elderer said the gear to be supplied to Nigeria are ground reconnaissance hardware, hostile to mine gear and weapon water crafts, among others.
