Wild Fire Outbreaks Hit Lagos, Razed 150 Houses, Customs Warehouse..
A wild fire has crushed no less than 150 temporary structures late Friday night at Kano Street, Ebute-Meta region of Lagos State.
Also, another flame episode gutted merchandise worth a great many naira at the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) preparing school's stockroom in the early hours of Saturday.
Mr Rasak Fadipe, the Director, Lagos State Fire Service, affirmed both episodes to NAN on Saturday in Lagos.
Fadipe said that his office got data about the flame flare-up that annihilated the alternative structures at around 10.30 p.m., Friday night.
The chief said that it took his men over seven hours to put out the inferno, focusing on that all the alternative structures in the zone were blazed.
"Our men were on ground when they got the data; yet then, the flame had effectively spread quick because of the stopgap structures and the current hot climate.
"We could put out the flame at around 5.30 a.m.," he said.
There was no setback," he said.
Correspondingly, the fire fighters were likewise on ground to quench another flame episode at the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) preparing school's stockroom, Ikeja.
Fadipe said that the flame began at around 1.30 a.m. on Saturday.
As per him, the upstairs is utilized for addresses, while the ground floor is use as a stockroom for seized merchandise.
"The building structure broken down on the merchandise on the ground floor while our men were all the while doing combating with the flame because of the power of he inferno on the structure, he said.
