Court Dissmisses Mr. Nnamdi Kanu Application to Stop Trial
The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday has rejected an application recorded by the pioneer of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, and his co-blamed, David Nwawusi and Benjamin Madubugwu, requesting stay of procedures in their continuous trial.
The guidance of the troubled IPOB pioneer, Chucks Muoma, had asked for the court to stay procedures, pending an application recorded by his customer at a higher court.
In any case, in his controlling, the trial Judge, John Tsoho, said that the application for stay of procedures needed legitimacy and requested that the trial would continue in the mode prior coordinated by the court.
The judge likewise said that there was no question with regards to the purview of the court to attempt the matter, yet included that the trial of Mr. Kanu will proceed unless a request from a legal power prohibits its continuation.
